2017 FFFWeek Day 3

With Fashion Week comes exclusive first-looks of new collections from various brands. The first one for the week was for the newest Fit for Me intimate apparel and casual wear. We were presented with a fashion show that showcased some of the latest style trends with styled with pieces from the collection by celebrity stylist, Denise Caldwell. Many of the looks demonstrated how the collection could work with items we already have in our own wardrobes transitioning from work to gym as well as highlighting just how smooth their seamless briefs and camis are under dresses. Wrapping Up Winter & Springing Forward

Much like every other season in NYC, Spring is unpredictable going from warm to cold to rainy and back all in the course of an afternoon which makes layering all the more necessary. For this reason, if there is one must-have addition to your daily style that I truly believe is worthy of a splurge it is a statement layering piece as it is a great help in creating endless outfit possibilities. As someone with a very small budget, I am selective when it comes to these kinds of purchases, leaning more towards colorful pieces due to my primarily monochromatic wardrobe, however nothing beats a nice neutral with a twist like this Yona New York wrap shawl.

The Big 2 – 5 (Part 2) : Eshakti Chambray

I took  advantage of the nice spring weather New York has been having this weekend to finally wear my first, and certainly not my last, purchase from eShakti. The current price tag attached to this dress is a tad on the expensive side, but I actually bought mine using the $40 gift coupon while the site was hosting a sale by which time the dress was marked down to $62 so this dress was a steal!  Though I fell in love with the dress as is online, I had the dress customized to knee length which turned out to be perfect.  I am petite (last time I checked I am 5’3”) so the maxi dress trend isn’t one I can really embrace for obvious reasons.
