Spring has officially arrived and with it so does spring fashion. This time of year I’m always on the look out to add new pieces to my wardrobe as I don’t really own many things that I can wear in warmer weather. (What can I say? I love fall, sweaters and wearing layers.) And this is why I was so excited to get a chance to try some of the new spring options from Bloomchic.
I was sent three pieces in total and they really got me embracing the change in season. Check out how I styled them and let me know which outfit is your favorite.

Cami dress
Due in part to my current job search, I have business casual styling stuck in my brain which is also the reason why I paired this dress with a basic white button down shirt in spite of it being a slinky bodycon. Overall it is a monochromatic look that worked well with this emerald green faux leather cross body bag as a pop of color. I find the overall palette of this look to be a refreshing take on spring colors though being bolder than the pastels which usually reigns supreme this time of year.

Block Print Cami Dress (wearing size 18/2X)
I should note that I actually sized up in this dress as it has no stretch and I suggest that you do the same if you have more of an apple body type like I do for a looser fit. This is also an outfit that I would wear for the start of spring when it is still cooler as it may be too warm once the temps start hitting the mid to high 60s.
Off Shoulder Dress*
When it comes to shopping for warmer weather it seems that it becomes practically impossible to escape the obvious floral print. (At least more than usual if we’re being totally honest, haha.) But honestly, what would spring be without a floral print, light weight dress? Especially one as cute as this one.
On it’s own, the dress has a basic A-line silhouette that easily becomes a fit-and-flare with the cinch of a belt. I actually took the belt that it comes with and tied it as a matching headband instead. The floral print is white yet outlined in black and so I added my black faux suede double buckle belt to make this truly pop.

Ditsy Floral Ties Off Shoulder Dress (wearing a size 18/2X)
This turned out to be the perfect outfit for a weekend of sightseeing and getting ice cream by the Baltimore pier as I did with my best friend over this past weekend. It truly is the dress you need to have for fun trips or casual get togethers with friends.
Hooded Crop denim jacket
This jacket was actually the first piece I added to my chart. I mean, technically I shouldn’t be adding more to my coat/jacket closet, but this piece is just so cool and unique so you can’t really blame me. Having an oversized fit, drop shoulder sleeves and cuffs, the jacket is both heavy enough to provide warmth against the cool spring breeze and light enough that you don’t find yourself sweating. I really think this is a great option for those of us that have shorter torsos or are just looking for another denim option other than the standard chambray top.

Hooded Crop Denim Jacket (wearing a size 16/1X)
Originally I had plans of styling this jacket with the blue cami dress, but something about this style just gave me the sense that it needed to be paired with something with some more movement. So I went with this pleated cami dress that I got from shopping my best friend’s closet last summer. While the dress does have a floral print, the color palette of the lower skirt portion is on the darker side, so I went with adding some white assets with my slip-on converse sneakers and this faux leather tote to really bring on the spring vibes.

*Style Note: I got this piece in a size 18/2X, however given the oversized fit I could have sized down to a 16/1X. I highly recommend double checking the measurements when ordering.
