This past weekend we had April-like temps here in NYC. It was a very nice tease of spring even for someone like me who loves winter with a passion as I got to spend time walking through Soho and Midtown with my friend, catching up and taking in some sun. It also gave me a chance to break out a transition look with some of my most recent on-trend finds. Not only is the weather cutting winter short but most retailers have already begun to stock their spring collections which definitely makes this the best time to shop if you are looking to add some trendy pieces to your closet you want to try without breaking the bank. This is how I found this piece for only $8 at Macy’s on the sale rack. When it comes to the cold/open shoulder trend, I’ve been wary of trying the style due to the fact that its hard to get away with it if you have a large bust that needs a bra. In the case with this top the straps were wide enough that my bra wasn’t a problem. Even with that being the case I decided to pair it with my new denim moto vest that matches perfectly with the dark wash of my current favorite skinny jeans. I just love how casual yet visually interesting this look is and I know that it is going to be a go-to look for this spring.
